Canada Wildrye
Description
Canada Wildrye is a native, cool-season, perennial bunchgrass that establishes rapidly, making it a good choice for reclaiming disturbed sites. However, it is short-lived and usually begins to thin out quickly after its third season. Although it can potentially reseed itself, it should always be combined with grasses that live longer. Canada Wildrye is adapted to coarse, sandy or gravelly soils and it will tolerate shade.
