Tall Fescue Pasture

Tall Fescue is an introduced, bunching, cool season, forage/pasture grass.  It grows well in irrigated settings and is a common component of irrigated pasture grasses in the Southwest.  It has fairly good palatability in the early spring and in the fall but tends to get more fibrous in the height of summer.  It can tolerate some salinity.  It makes a dense root structure so it has great persistence in pasture grasses.
