Milpa Garden Cover Crop
The Milpa Mix is dual purpose cover crop mixture and edible garden inspired by the Mayan system of interplanting a diverse array of crops together. Each year the Milpa Garden Cover Crop Mix is slightly different, but includes 25+ warm season crops that can nourish your family and and your soil at the same time! This is a warm season blend, so it should be planted when soil temperatures rise above 60 degrees (around June 1 in Montezuma County). Plant the seed 3/4 to 1 inch deep, and about 1 pound per 1,000 square feet.
