Microclover
Microclover is a new approach to lawns and sports fields. It is a dwarf clover that occupies the understory of a turf and contributes to the dark green coloration we admire in a great lawn. Being in the Legume family, microclover also adds nitrogen to the soil which benefits all the other grasses in the lawn. Microclover ( Trifolium repens L.) is a selection from white clover that has smaller leaves and lower growth habits. When seeded at an appropriate rate, it mixes better with most turfgrass species than common white clover, without forming clumps and without excessively competing with desirable turfgrasses. Typical seeding rates are between 3% and 5% of the total seed application.
